We designed our available heated, multi-function, touch steering wheel to feel extra comfortable in your hands, because it’s the part of the car you touch the most. We then placed the most important buttons and switches within easy reach, ensuring that you have command of the ID.4 within your grasp.

The available 12.9” touchscreen is your central hub for your drive. It’s equipped with voice control, smart features like interactive navigation, climate control and more. So, you can get where you’re going, and stay comfortable along the way.

Car talk reimagined
The ID. Light is an intuitive light bar that runs across the dashboard in your ID.4. It uses glowing visual and acoustic cues to work in sync with native navigation, telegraph incoming calls, brake warnings, charge status, and more.

The ID.4 senses your presence and intuitively starts when you have your key fob and you sit in the driver’s seat, “waking up” automatically after the press of the brake pedal. Smart technologies for a simpler drive
Travel Assist*
The Travel Assist feature is a semi-automated driving assistant that blends the functions of Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist to help your Volkswagen maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and keeps you centered in the lane.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)*
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) helps drivers maintain a constant speed and distance from the vehicle ahead using sensors to detect other vehicles. The system can reduce speed of the vehicle if there is a slower moving vehicle ahead, bring the vehicle to a standstill, and resume speed regulation as long as the vehicle in front is moving again.
Tech with a sense for your surroundings
Active Blind Spot Monitor*
The Active Blind Spot Monitor alerts the driver when a vehicle is in their blind spot and counter-steers to help avoid trouble. The monitor scans behind and along each side of the vehicle and alerts the driver when other vehicles enter the monitored zone. It can be deactivated, providing drivers with the flexibility to choose when to use it and customize their driving experience.brakes.
Rear Traffic Alert*
Rear Traffic Alert is a safety-enhancing feature that helps drivers avoid collisions when reversing. It can detect cross traffic behind the vehicle and alert the driver with a chime and warning indicator. If the driver doesn’t respond to the warnings and a potential collision is detected, the system will engage the brakes to help avoid a collision.
Front Assist*
The Volkswagen front assist system with automatic emergency braking is designed to warn you of a potential collision and assist by braking to avoid or lessen the impact of a crash. It uses a radar sensor (and in select models a camera) to monitor the traffic in front of your vehicle and helps identify possible hazards, such as a driver in front of you that suddenly brakes.
Emergency Assist*
When Travel or Lane Assist is active and something serious happens where you lose the ability to drive, Emergency Assist helps safely bring the vehicle to a stop and will contact assistance for you.
Lane Assist*
Lane Assist is a feature that helps keep the vehicle within its lane. It activates when driving above 35 MPH on roads with visible markings and can warn the driver and counter-steer if necessary. The system can be turned on or off through the infotainment system or by pushing the assist systems button.

Light Assist
When driving at 18 MPH or faster and your surroundings get dark, the Light Assist driver assistance feature turns on to help make sure the road ahead is lit, and when your speed slows to 12 MPH, it turns off. You can set the high beams into “auto” mode, so they’ll automatically activate when there’s low light, and turn off when there’s an oncoming vehicle, or you enter an area that’s well lit by the environment or by traffic conditions.*
Area View
Sometimes the best way to see what’s happening around you is through cameras that can give you a wider view of those hard to see angles that surround us. Area View does just that by providing an expanded view of your car’s surroundings.*
Park Distance Control with Maneuver Braking
The available Park Distance Control helps take the guess work out of parking your car, while Maneuver Braking helps apply the brake automatically to help mitigate the chance of a collision with stationary objects while reversing into a spot. With Park Distance Control’s audio beeps and visual support, you’ll know if you’re getting too close to detected obstacles in front of or behind your car. It’ll also share additional information on your display, so you can see what’s behind your car as you reverse within a parking spot.*
Dynamic Road Sign Display
From traffic signs to speed limits, when you need a reminder about the signs on the road, Dynamic Road Sign Display helps share the information you want. It also features warnings for speed, restricted traffic zones and more, so you can remain focused on the road ahead.*
